Macintosh OS X Installation

1.

• From the Apple menu choose System Prefences.

• Click on "Network."

• Select your modem from the Show drop down list.
• Select the TCP/IP tab.
• Select Configure and choose Using PPP.
• In the Domain Name Servers box, type the DNS server addresses: 216.240.160.185 and 216.240.160.186
• In the Search Domains box, type ixpres.com
• Then go to the PPP tab.

• In the Telephone Number field, type your Access Number.
• In the Account Name field, enter your dialup username and include @ixpres.com
• In the Password field, enter your password.
• Check the Save password box
• Then click PPP Options button.

• Set your options as shown. You may optionally remove the tick from Disconnect if idle for xx minutes should you need to.
• Click the OK button.
• Go to Modem tab.

6.

• In the Modem dropdown menu select your modem from the list.
• Set your options as shown.
• Click the Apply Now button.
• Close the Network window.
